A Maze installation at Riflemaker Gallery is part of the latest exhibition from Stuart Pearson Wright, whose brand new work takes centre stage in the I Remember You collection. A film installation shown on two different screens, the art installation stars a rather well known Hollywood actress alongside Pearson Wright himself.

More used to starring alongside the likes of Orlando Bloom, James McAvoy and Ralph Fiennes, Keira Knightley acts alongside the artist in the Maze film installation on show at the Riflemaker Gallery. Renowned for her roles in period costume in the likes of The Duchess, Atonement and the Pirates of the Caribbean series, here Knightley dones a grand costume once again, but this time from the Tudor period.

Elizabethan romance
Both Knightley and Pearson Wright are dressed in elaborate Elizabethan costume on screen in the Maze installation at Riflemaker Gallery, shown lost in a giant maze. Only separated by a hedge, they can hear each other's voices, but can never actually reach each other. Highlighting the nature of failed romances and acting as a metaphor for relationship breakdown, the Maze film shows the male character floundering, while the female eventually regains her composure.

I Remember You
Much of the work on show alongside the Maze installation at Riflemaker Gallery looks at the nature of male and female stereotyping in films, books and comics. Visitors to I Remember You will be able to see a series of paintings exploring the ways in which men and women are often depicted in these art forms, and see just how the artist has attempted to dispel the common misconceptions through his own attempts at subverting traditional myths.

The Maze installation at Riflemaker Gallery takes place as part of the I Remember You exhibition, which runs from 10am - 6pm Monday - Friday and 12pm - 6pm on Saturdays. The show takes place from Wednesday 5th May - Saturday 26th June 2010. Entrance is free.
