Meeting of Styles London
Meeting of Styles London

When

Saturday 8th October 2011

Where

The Studios, Islington

Celebrating the best international graffiti artists around, the Meeting of Styles London festival invites you to come and witness the biggest aerosol jam in the world. With over 50 skilled street artists heading to The Studios in Islington, this is the perfect place for those with a passion for rough edged art.

Meeting of Styles
London is no stranger to the genre of graffiti or street art, having played host to many different artists from Banksy to Blek le Rat over the past few years, and with exhibitions even taking place at prestigious venues such as the Tate Modern. Now the spray cans are heading back to the streets with a gathering of creatives taking over The Studios in north London for one day packed full of painting and partying.

Pop up arts
Of course the major attraction for the Meeting of Styles London festival will be the chance to see the live painting installations and canvases filled with top class graffiti work. By its very nature, the creation of graffiti and street art is often a clandestine and secretive affair, so this is a rare chance to see how these often provocative and large scale works are made.

International artists
Having combed Europe for the best in street and graffiti artists, the people behind the Meeting of Styles London gathering have a truly international crew to showcase their skills at the event. Coming from across Europe as well as within the UK, the lineup of aerosol artists will be kicking off proceedings with their unique artistic stylings.

Film screenings and more
Meanwhile, DJs and MCs will be laying down the beats and providing the soundtrack to the day's proceedings, while the cinema room will be screening films. There's also an art raffle, licensed bars, competitions and a barbecue courtesy of Meat Easy.

After party
Once the venue has been fully decorated with the full on artwork, what better excuse is there for a party? Held in the custom painted warehouse space to celebrate the completion of the work, the after party is definitely the best way to end the creative festival with live acts from Lazy Habits, Phi Life Cypher, Joe Driscoll and Wrongtom.

The Meeting of Styles London event takes place from 12pm - 12am, Saturday 8th October 2011 at The Studios in Islington. Admission is free.
