The Men Only charity auction takes place at Liberty in September in aid of the Everyman Male Cancer Campaign. With some stunning one off photographs and artworks up for grabs, one lucky man will get hold of an exclusive picture of supermodel Kate Moss at the Men Only charity auction.
On display at the famous London department store Liberty from Tuesday 9th September to the day of the auction itself, the Men Only charity auction exhibition features all the amazing art that will go under the hammer in the sale. With a selection of very famous subjects and artists in the lineup, there is no reason not to bag yourself a piece of art from this worthy auction.
Kate Moss has been photographed by well renowned photographer Terry Richardson for inclusion in the Men Only art auction, and appears as a sexy biker chick, holding a helmut and wearing high heels on a deserted race track. One of the most famous supermodels in the world, this stunning image of Kate Moss will no doubt be one of the most sort after lots in the charity auction.
Everyman Male Cancer Campaign is hosting the auction in memory of the sculptor and Doctor Who model maker Allister Bowtell who was one of the 35,000 British men diagnosed with prostate cancer each year, but who sadly died in 2006. The Men Only charity auction not only hopes to see some amazing pieces sold to some serious art and photography fans, but to raise awareness of the charity and the research done by the Institute of Cancer Research into prostate and testicular cancer.
Alongside the photo of Kate Moss, there are several otehr glamorous photos of famous women, including ballerina Darcy Bussell. Also capturing a sexy biker chick style, the picture of Darcy Bussell has been taken by John Stoddart of the normally demure dancer in a leather outfit, next to a race car. And it's not just women at the end of the lens; there are also striking images of the likes of boxing legend Mohamed Ali and the newest Bond on the block, Daniel Craig included in the auction.
Art by some very famous faces has also been included in the sale, with pictures by Damien Hirst, cartoonist Ralph Steadman and Pink Floyd cover artist Storm Thorgerson. But whether you are a serious art lover or someone with a keen eye for striking designs, there will be something in the Men Only charity auction that appeals.
Of course both women and men can head along to Liberty for the auction and exhibition. The Men Only art auction is on show at Liberty from Tuesday 9th to Thurdsday 11th September 2008. The Men Only charity auction for Everyman Male Cancer Campaign takes place at 7pm on Thursday 11th September.
