Michael Jackson Birthday Events at Jazz Cafe

After the sad and untimely demise of the King of Pop, the capital has been in a period of mourning. Michael Jackson should have been performing at the biggest concerts of the year this summer, instead tragedy surrounds his death. However, to celebrate his life and illustrious music career, Michael Jackson birthday events at the Jazz Cafe hope to honour the King of Pop on what would have been his 51st birthday.

Kicking off the Michael Jackson birthday events at Jazz Cafe is a special I Love the ‘80s Saturday event on what would have been the King of Pop’s 50th birthday. It doesn’t matter if you’re Dirty Diana, Billy Jean, Black or White, you can expect to join likeminded Michael Jackson fans looking to raise a glass to the superstar who influenced modern music. Michael’s best tunes will be played throughout the night and his videos will be shown on the big screen. There will also be a Moonwalking competition, so get ready to show off your best Micky J moves.

The tribute continues
Michael Jackson birthday events at Jazz Cafe are taking place across the Bank Holiday weekend so you can head to Sunday’s Michael Jackson tribute and not feel guilty about having to get up early the next day. Well, unless you’re unlucky enough to have work on a Bank Holiday Monday – sorry about that. This tribute will be hosted by Eric Roberson and will feature vocals by Phonte Coleman, Kym Mazelle of Young Hearts Run Free fame, Chris Ballin, Donna Gardier and Lennox Cameron, all singing Michael Jackson’s biggest hits. Seeing Michael’s best tracks sung by some of today’s most respected soul singers is sure to be a big treat.

If you’re heading to the Notting Hill Carnival and fancy celebrating the life and music of the King of Pop then Calvin Francis is finishing up the Michael Jackson birthday events at Jazz Cafe with this party. Choice FM’s resident old school RnB and funk DJ master Calvin Francis will be helping everyone to rock the night away.
