Featuring a breathtaking array of wordless theatre, the London International Mime Festival at Barbican includes a number of shows that utilise everything from masks and live music to circus acts, animation and puppetry to explore a number of important themes.

Translunar Paradise
Amongst the shows taking place as part of the mime festival at Barbican is the Translunar Paradise production by Theatre Ad Infinitum. Set to live accordion music, this mask and movement theatre was a sell out success at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and follows the story of the grief stricken William and his wife, Rose, who comes back from the grave to help her husband come to terms with his grief.

The Theatre Ad Infinitum production of Translunar Paradise runs from 7.45pm, 17th January - 21st January 2012, and is suitable for ages 12+. Tickets cost 16.00.

L'Immediat
Also taking place as part of the London International Mime Festival at Barbican is L'Immediat, a vibrant circus-theatre production by Compagnie L'Immediat and Camille Boitel. Featuring a set design packed full of machinery, bric-a-brac and objects of various shapes and sizes, the acrobatic show confronts the uncertainty and chaos of modern life.

The performances of L'Immediat take place from 7.45pm, 18th January - 21st January 2012, and are suitable for ages 8+. Tickets cost £16.00 - £28.00.

2 Dimensional Life for Her
The final show taking place as part of the mime festival at Barbican is a special production by Fleur Elise Noble. Set in an artist's studio, 2 Dimensional Life for Her incorporates drawing, puppetry, light and shadow projections and animation to create an intense alternative universe.

2 Dimensional Life for Her takes place from 7.45pm, 24th January - 28th January 2012, and is suitable for ages 8+. Tickets cost £14.00.

The productions for the London International Mime Festival at Barbican take place from Tuesday 17th January - Saturday 28th January 2012. For more information and to buy tickets for any of these events, call the Barbican ticket office on 080 7638 8891.
