Showcasing the very best in wordless theatre from across Europe, the events for the London International Mime Festival at Southbank Centre feature everything from acrobatics and modern clown techniques to mask theatre and dance.

Baccala Clowns
Events in the mime festival at Southbank Centre programme start off with the Baccala Clowns from Switzerland, featuring the talents of two young circus artists, Camilla Pessi and Simone Fassari. Their show, titled Pss Pss, combines both classic and modern clown techniques into a charming and engaging show that is suitable for all ages.

Autour De Mime
Also taking place as part of the London International Mime Festival at Southbank Centre is Tell Me the Truth and Other Stories, by French mime artists Autour De Mime. The performance has been inspired by a poem by Jacques Prevert, and portrays a couple's dysfunctional and loveless relationship.

Inspired by Jean-Paul Sartre's drama Huis Clos (No Exit), Tendre Suie by French circus theatre duo Toron Blues is also making a special appearance at the mime festival at Southbank Centre. With the two women performing around a rope hanging centre stage, the audience are left to decide whether the pair are sisters, lovers or shadows.

The performances of Tendre Suie are suitable for ages 12+, and takes place from Thursday 19th January - Sunday 22nd January 2012. The show takes place at 7.45pm apart from Sunday, when it begins at 4pm.
