Went on a Friday night and it was the worst club I've ever been to! From the moment my group and I stepped through the door, we were being deceived left, right and centre! Was initially told when we made the booking that minimum spend to have a table was £150, then when we got there it rose to £350! After some discussion with the manager it was actually a minimum of one bottle per table, so £220 (cheapest was Grey Goose vodka). The blonde waitress was rude, arrogant and unpleasant to deal with all night. Why there was only one waitress serving all the tables, I do not know! And she had the audacity to ask (yes, she asked!) to be tipped for her appalling service and tried to suggest that there was a compulsory service charge of 20%. We pointed out to her that actually, as it explicitly stated on the drinks menu, service charge was optional and even if we did decide to tip, it was 15%, not 20%! The music was mediocre at best and the whole vibe in the club was. Dull. Could not wait to get out of there and only stayed because my friends had already paid £20 to get into the club and it was her birthday! Avoid at all costs!
I aso enjoyed the venue!Went over last weekend and the muisc was really good , good crowd and the staff is very fun.
I popped down to the club after having dinner and the food was lovely. i am so suprise with the venue cause you don't expect from outside. Loved it!
went on friday 21st jan. had a great night, young atmosphere and great music. i also met a hot mixed raced guy there. we're goimg out this sat. and..........very kind french bouncers on the door.
My friend offered to my boyfriend and myself 2 tickets for new years eve. We were really surprised to dicover this place.
It is lovely and the food delicious.
Waiters were lovely , so the bartenders.
I enjoyed my visits there and will recommend it to my friends.
We found a very nice crowd there, the music was good and the cocktails too.
I went to molton house for my Christmas party on the 16th of december and i really had a great time.
The food was very good and the waiter gave us a good service, we had the whole club for our company and the bar staff nice.
We receive great service from when we made the reservation until the end of the night.
I will advice everyone to go there!

We went to Molton House last night for our Christmas party. What a disaster. Our table was booked for 7pm. We were eventually TOLD we could take our places at 8.40pm. WE had had to pre-order our food. When the starters arrived they were not as we had ordered. We obviously complained and were told that the chef had decided to give us extra. The main courses then arrived. These were cold, the pasta was full of grease and the chicken was not even cooked properly! The desserts then arrived. These were plonked on the plate with no thought for presentation. When we asked to speak to someone in charge the owner arrived. He was not interested in customer satisfaction one iota. His only interest was in the profit that could be made. He was not apologetic, he had an attitude and is in fact a complete a***hole. When we tried to salvage the night by going down to the club we were told it was closed. They didn't tell us this when we booked and when they took our money. My advice - if you want a decent night out don't go to Molton House.
What a gorgeous place? I love the detail in the decor. Great for some cheeky drinks with the girls! I'd also recommend the restaurant... one word - yummy!
Had an awesome time at Molton House last night, apparently they do live music nights on Thursdays, so that was a surprise. Loved the performers, such an incredible voices. The cocktails were amazing too, got me a little tipsy too soon though =) Definitely going back to try out they restaurant soon, especially with those incredible offers they've got now.
The food at the Il Pavone restaurant at Molton House was just what we needed after a long days shopping. I took my mother out for a treat and she absolutely loved the decor. The food was well presented and tasted divine. The waiter was very courteous and suggested a lovely wine to go with our fish. We sat out under the awning which led on to the pedestrianised street and watched the world go by (putting it to rights!). All in all a lovely evening was had and I will most certainly be looking to Molton House for my next treat!
Tried eating there for lunch two weeks ago. Ordered Caesar Salad, hoping it will be commensurate with the price and interior décor. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The salad leaves were old, some where yellow or even worse, similar to when you leave it in your fridge for a while :) Chicken had bones and ligaments in it! :)
If you like extremes, that's the place to check out! :)
When I've mentioned that to the waitress, she politely conveyed the message to the cook, however that was the extent of her assistance.
The staff were spectacular a few weeks back when I booked in a friend's birthday. We had drinks in the cocktail bar (loived the python skin seats!), then dinner in the new restaurant within the club (Pavone) before we headed down to the club. We didn't stop dancing at all...the DJ was amazing! Really were made to feel special. Definitely going back!!
I went with my girlfriends to the club on Saturday night
Staff were pleasant. They all looked like models!
Drinks as expected in West End venue. To give you a rough idea, I am teetotal and my lime and tonic came to £3.50
The dance floor is not very big. There was only one air-conditioning unit working (near the mirrors in the middle) so it felt quite hot and sweaty with the packed dance floor.
Fellow clubbers ranged from 20- somethings to grey hair grooving grandpas. There was a good male to female ratio. Every one was there to have a good time with their mates- did not have the 'meat market' feel that you get in other West End clubs.
The DJ had a hiccupy start - which had people looking at each other in confusion and at one point empited the dancefloor. However, he must have 'read' the crowd, because towards midnight started churning out some really good mixes with smooth transitions. Music was commercial chart music.
It was a great evening out!
I ate here and it was unimaginably bad - the waitress got our drinks order wrong, forgot to pass three of our food orders to the chef (meaning that three of my friends did not get their food until everybody else had finished theirs) and was generally inattentive and disinterested.
She also knew nothing about the menu and was unable to answer simple questions such as "What are the meatballs served with" - though perhaps this was due to the fact that the food served bears little relation to what the menu says. A friend of mine ordered Salmon and potatoes but got cauliflower and rocket instead.
When the food did come it was very poor and some of the dishes were downright inedible. When we complained to the manager he was rude, defensive and did not offer any discount. He even had the nerve to tell us that contrary to what we were saying, we had actually enjoyed the food! His evidence for this was that one of my friends had finished his plate though this was only because he was starving after waiting more than an hour for his food.
On the plus side the music was good and the cocktails, when they did arrive were nice. However, this pales into insignificance when weighed up against the awful food and incompetent and rude staff. Avoid this place at all cost
I like Molton House. I had there dinner once (fresh Italian food in Pavone) and than we went dancing with my girls down stairs in the club. They let us in for free in to club,as we had dinner upstairs
music is nice-make u want to dance
stuff is friendly
great Friday-Saturday night out

I cant believe the reviews below. I attended a night at this club recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. A great club, good music, friendly staff and top atmosphere. The Molton puts other Mayfair clubs in their place. Not too pricey for this quality venue.
* PLEASE READ* Ok, so honestly speaking! Went to Molton House on a Monday night and had quite a pleasant evening! I read the reviews on here and thought it was going to be a horrible evening! (was dragged out by my friends despite me trying to 'hint other venues'). When we first arrived the Lady at the door was pleasantly quick to find us on the guest list and we got in to the venue really quickly! We had not booked a table and thought it was going to be horribly uncomfortable standing inside the club, but surprisingly the bartenders and the waitresses were so kind it was not hard at all to get drinks! The rest of the staff in the entire House kept conversation going all night and at the end of the night we knew each other on a first name basis, which I believe is so wonderful!
Dinner was nice and the food was well cooked and arrived very quickly! All and all, I completely disagree with some of the bad reviews on here as it really wasn't horrible at all! It's just a matter of differences in opinions!
I was a bit scared at first, I'm a simple man, I like beer and pubs. So I thought molton house would be a little over the top for me. But after a little while and a couple of japanese beers later I started to really enjoy my self. The staff were friendly and the girls on reception were beautiful. I would say this place is a great spot to bring your loved one for an amazing night.DD.
Visited Molton House for the first time on Tuesday. I must say that i was very impressed. the staff were polite and friendly and the music in the club was great.
I loved the way the cocktail lounge and club were divided on two separate floors with their own DJ's giving two completely different atmospheres.
Would like to go back and try the restaurant.
Went last night for the first time for a friend's birthday. Had a pretty good time but it was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night. The contrast between the two floors is cool - can go and chill out on the sofas on the top floor or hit the dance floor in the basement. Staff were generally really helpful with one exception. On getting a drink from the bar an "optional 15% service charge" had been added. I asked if this could be taken off and the barman got pretty angry - at first he refused. I then asked what part of the charge was "optional" if he was going to make me pay it. This discussion continued for a few minutes but eventually he conceded. Obviously, I didn't tip him for the rest of the night whereas if he has been courteous and obliged the first time, I probably would have done.
Anyway, I can't tar the rest of the staff with one idiot's brush - everyone else was really friendly. Good place, quite expensive (to be expected in Mayfair) but was still a good night.
Went for nye. The service was terrible and the mardy waitress complained that our £70 tip wasn't enough! Who the hell do they think they are! This is a grotty little basement filled with old men. If you are looking for somwhere slightly more upmarket with better sevice Mcdonalds is 5 minutes walk up Oxford Street.
****Please read this review before booking an evening @ Molton House****
We received the worst service imaginable on 12/12/09 for the following reasons:
- We booked a table for 9:15PM & were only seated by 10:25PM. Needless to say, we were all starving at this point (and were forced to make alternative travel arrangements home).
- The food was average quality and was served in irregular intervals i.e. I received my main course 15 minutes before anyone else was served (forcing me to eat on my own). Two of our friends were forced to wait over 10 minutes for their meals once everyone else had been served.
- The staff forgot to order one of the starters, forcing that person to wait until the mains arrived for their starter.
The bill arrived & 20% service charge had been added, as well as numerous bottles of champagne which we did not order.
Management were very unfriendly & just shrugged their shoulders when we questioned why the service was not up to scratch.
I strongly advise anyone interested in having a special dinner & evening in London to avoid this restaurant at all costs. You will not be looked after!
Brilliant find for lunch and at £10 for two courses from the set lunch menu ,both of which were really tasty(generous plate of decent smoked salmon followed by wild mushroom risotto)you really couldn't complain. As a single female diner(nearing 60) I felt completely comfortable in the front part of the dining room where, coincidentally, there were three other ladies only tables all of whom seemed to be enjoying themselves. I just wanted somewhere quiet for a relaxed lunch and would certainly return.
There was no pressure to buy drinks or raised eyebrows when I asked for tap water, which was bought promptly with plenty of ice and slices of lime. I thought the decor was beyond hideous but didn't even realise it was predominantly a night club so would probably seem less horrendous then! Reviewerk. T
I love Molton House, the grill menu in the restaurant is massive!!!
As a starter I discovered the char-grill salad for main I ordered a whole chicken for two that comes with vegetable, beans were al dente and the potatoes just melt in the mouth.
Highly recommended I will definitely come back again. I am already planning my Christmas party as the prices are very reasonable with free entry to the club!
Thank you Jodie for making us feel so special
Probably not bad as a club/evening drinking venue, but all I can say is don't bother with the food!
It's got to be one of the worst meals I have EVER had! The problem is you don't really actually get any food! I don't really call 4 x 2p size bits of chicken on four miniature lettuce leaves a main course size salad and it certainly wasn't worth £9!
I quite understand, and appreciate the whole "classy little portions" restaurant philosophy but this place completely takes the mick!
Thankfully I tried it out first with my mother and sister, thank god I didn't take business contacts there because it would have been plain embarrassing!
Last word - avoid this place if you actually want some food as part of your meal! There are no excuses for how much this place tries to rip you off.
i love it! stunning stunning venue + i love the club it's gorgeous! the DJ on Thursday seriously rocks it!! i love this place - it's now my staple Thursday night out!!!
Molton House is cool - especially if you're a peacock... However, I'm witholding judgement until they're properly up and running and the restaurant is in place. Looking forward to going back!
