Acclaimed art collective, Shunt, brings a fascinating new show to its brand new space on Bermondsey Street, offering audiences a captivating piece of immersive theatre. Money tickets will enable theatre fans to enjoy a show based loosely on Emile Zola’s acclaimed novel, L’Argent, a story inspired by the events surrounding a nineteenth century banking fiasco in France. The resulting piece of theatre is a fractured, disorientating and thrilling event that’s typically in keeping with Shunt’s unique approach to their craft.

Those lucky enough to get their hands on Money tickets will be transported to a Victorian setting boasting a huge industrial centrepiece set within a cavernous tobacco warehouse just by London Bridge. Nobody knows what the huge machine is for, but the way it hisses steam and groans beneath the weight of its churning gears means all is not well, and the feral child stalking the ventilation ducts makes everything even stranger.

The theatre company behind Money, Shunt, is an arts collective that has been putting on highly acclaimed events in a permanent space under London Bridge since 2006. They are heralded for their innovative approach to arts and entertainment, and Money is set to showcase their knack for immersive theatre, bringing the show directly to the audience with imagery, fractured narrative and a sensory assault that takes place directly around those watching.
