Running over the summer of 2011, the More London Free Festival features a range of theatre, music, film screenings and a rich programme of live performances to keep all ages happy.

More London Free Festival
With a series of live music events, plays, films and sports for all ages, the More London Free Festival presents a veritable feast of live arts activities for the summer of 2011. Even better, all of the events are completely free to attend, so you can save your pennies and just concentrate on enjoying your time with friends and family at The Scoop, the stylish outdoors amphitheatre at More London.

Free events at The Scoop
Kicking off with a series of fringe arts events in June, the More London Free Festival features plenty of events that will appeal to kids, families, and older live arts lovers too. Catch a performance by the award winning Chickenshed theatre or see a refreshing take on The Canterbury Tales courtesy of open air theatre company The Pantaloons as part of the Free Fringe programme.

Theatre performances
Also taking place as part of the festival is a season of free open air theatre shows, including a family play, Around the World in Eighty Days, which features the much loved characters from the adventure story by Jules Verne. For adults, there's an adaption of Brecht's The Mother.

Live music
A summer of live music at The Scoop starts towards the end of June, with weekly lunchtime and evening concerts. There's a host of live music taking place at The Scoop throughout July, with jazz, RnB, world music and more on offer.

Free Films at the Scoop
There is also a series of film screenings taking place at The Scoop at More London in September 2011, and as the screenings are free and there is no need to book in advance, there's just no excuse not to show up. Films to be screened include classics such as Grease and The African Queen, as well as modern hits such as The King's Speech and The Social Network.

The Scoop Free Film Screenings

The More London Free Festival runs from Wednesday 1st June - Friday 30th September 2011. All events are free to attend.
