One of the London eating establishments run by celebrated chef Oliver Peyton, the venue at the National Gallery is offering a traditionally British afternoon tea on Mothering Sunday. Take your mum to see the latest exhibition at the National Gallery and then treat her to cakes and sandwiches for Mothers Day at National Dining Rooms, as well as buttermilk scones served with preserves and clotted cream.

If your mum's an art fan, then before you sit down to the selection of sweet and savoury treats from the in house bakery on Mothers Day at National Dining Rooms, you can take her around all the spectacular paintings on show at the National Gallery. As well as all the free to view works in the permanent collection, there's also the Delaroche exhibition featuring large scale works from the talented nineteenth century French painter.
