The Museum of Small Things at Selfridges is encouraging us to find the truth in the maxim that small is beautiful. Take a trip to the Selfridges Ultralounge this spring and be inspired by the smallness of things.

Museum of Small Things
Selfridges Ultralounge is renowned for hosting some of the more quirky events in London and the Museum of Small Things is no exception. Taking over the space with a delightful array of small, tiny, miniscule and petite, the museum is shunning modern day obsessions with the gigantic, and proving that bigger certainly is not better.

Small wonderland
Inspired by the likes of Alice's journey into Wonderland, the Museum of Small Things at Selfridges invites you on a trip into an unusual exhibition. Encouraging visitors to open their eyes as wide as possible, the museum is crammed full of small exhibits and tiny details from some of the most respected and upcoming British artists.

Arts and crafts
Objects on show at the smallest of small exhibitions include subtle gems, jelly slogans, deity inspired headgear and a dictionary inspired installation. Modern masterpieces are on display with images, arts, crafts, moving pictures and treasures all taking their place amongst the labyrinthine exhibition. The artists are inviting you to step inside the Museum of Small Things at Selfridges and get lost in the wonder of it all.

Pop up shop
To complete the exploratory nature of the museum, the Selfridges Ultralounge would not be complete without a Museum of Small Things inspired pop up shop. Here you can buy intricately crafted like those on show, including a limited edition handbag by the Turner Prize winning artist Grayson Perry for just £60.00. Described as being like a ritual object to take with you on your sacred journey, there are sure to be plenty of pilgrims out there wanting to get their hands on one.

The Museum of Small Things at Selfridges takes place from 9.30am - 8pm, Friday 5th February - Sunday 7th March 2010 in the Ultralounge. Entrance is free.
