The Museum also houses the acclaimed Holocaust Exhibition, and art galleries holding some of the twentieth century’s best known paintings.
Museum in DocklandsIn an age where boats are considered a slow form of transport it's refreshing to take some time out to consider a time when travelling by boat was still a tremendously exciting prospect. As from the 24th November the Science Museum is introducing a large interactive gallery for young visitors called LaunchPad where they can learn about electricity, magnetism, light and sound. This will be a permanent gallery.

Victoria and Albert Museum

Some would say that it's the greatest museum of applied and decorative arts in the world (another one in the eye for the Yanks!) - and they would quite probably be right. We're not just talking modern stuff either; oh no - some exhibitions stretch as far back in time as 1500.
