Enjoy an entire weekend of live concerts with the free music village at Hyde Park in July. London music groups playing music from all over the globe will hit Hyde Park over two days, bringing you the best in world sounds. Top class performers and great music will no doubt add the music village event to the calendar of great free festivals in London. Hyde Park spectacular The 2010 music village at Hyde Park sees two days of music jam packed with performances influenced by music from all over the world. Expect to hear the sounds of Africa and Latin America, Jewish and Asia culture, Kurdish beats, Eastern European tunes and Chinese traditions, as the global music village invites you to enjoy a wonderful variety of cultures. Back once again Returning after its hiatus last year, the Disapora music village at Hyde Park is back again for another year. With a huge crowd enjoying all kinds of musical fun and entertainment in years gone by, you can expect the same thing again for 2010 as a variety of artists and bands hit the stage and wow you with their amazing music. The Hyde Park festival is the grand finale to the city wide World City Music Village, which features free gigs and concerts across the city, including Victoria Park and the Musuem of London. World City Music Village Festival Music Village at Victoria Park 2010 lineup Some of the artists at the music village festival in previous years have included Africa Jambo from the Congo, Palenke who plays Latin style music, Anthar Kharana from Colombia, Harare from Zimbabwe, Viva Lachs and the Klezmer with their traditional Jewish music, Kathy Hall and the London Uyghur Ensemble from China, and Panache from the Caribbean. Family fun Sure to be a weekend of amazing performances, the music village at Hyde Park is a must do event for any world music fan worth their salt. The two day festival takes place on the banks of the Serpentine on the site of the legendary Rolling Stones concert of 1969. The Music Village at Hyde Park is free to attend and takes place from 1pm - 9pm, Saturday 10th July - Sunday 11th July 2010.
