Join the experts for a St Patricks Day event with a different at the National Portrait Gallery Irish walk. Taking you around some of the areas of London most often frequented by Irish artists and writers from the past, you'll bound to learn an interesting tidbit or two to take home with you.

National Portrait Gallery Irish walk
Hear about Oscar Wilde, Richard Sheridan and George Bernard Shaw along with the history of Covent Garden and St Giles on the National Portrait Gallery Irish walk. The walk will be conducted by a Blue Badge Guide and historian, and will follow a lecture and gallery tour that will touch on some of the gallery's most prized art with an Irish connection.

The Irish walk runs from 10.30am - 3.30pm on St Patricks Day, Tuesday 17th Mrch 2009. Tickets cost £10.00 - 15.00. For more information or to book tickets, phone the National Portrait Gallery on 020 7306 0055.
