The event at Victoria Park is a women only race, encouraging women of all ages and abilities to take part in a top sporting event.
Victoria Park
Taking place in the leafy surrounds of Victoria Park, the Nike Plus Human Race London event is a women's run that ties into the worldwide sporting event. Up to 5000 eager runners will be lacing up their trainers, slipping into their special red t-shirts and racing against their personal best in a ten kilometre run.
Women's run
Kicking off the fantastic sporting day in five waves to make sure everyone has the space and time to run their very best, the Nike Plus Human Race at Victoria Park sees women from all walks of life getting out into the autumn air to keep fit. Baggage facilities, marshals and basic changing facilities are all available at the park so that you're as organised as you can be before you set off on your 10k race against the clock and other runners.
Worldwide event
Throughout the day several other Nike Plus Human Races will be taking place around the globe, making it a truly international endeavour. From Taipei to Madrid, Istanbul to Rome and Warsaw to LA, runners will be taking part in the Human Race and celebrating a life dedicated to keeping fit at the same time.
Celebrity runners
Several famous athletes will leading their nations out to victory during the Nike Plus Human Race day. Past years have seen the likes of seven times Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong in Austin, Beijing gold medal hopeful Craig Mottram in Melbourne, and Grand Prix gold medalist Yuna Kim in Soul all take part in the day of running. So if you want to be running with some of the best athletes in the world, now is your chance.
