Head to the NME Awards Show for the chance to see rock 'n' roll royalty perform live and gather their awards. The line-up of bands is pretty impressive with artists such as Florence and The Machine, Noel Gallagher and Jarvis Cocker with Pulp all taking part.
Prestigious event
The NME is a well respected music publication that has been promoting new music ever since it was first released in 1952. Accordingly the NME Awards Show is a highly regarded guide to what’s what in the music industry, so all the bands are keen to win something at one of the most prestigious event on the music calendar.
Performance highlights
Highlights of the 2012 NME Awards Show includes a live performance by Noel Gallagher. The High Flying Birds frontman and former Oasis band member will also be picking up a Godlike Genius Award at the ceremony, in recognition of his contribution to the Britpop scene.
Special collaborations
Music fans can also look forward to an onstage collaboration between Florence and The Machine and The Horrors at the NME Awards Show. Other acts due to perform live include The Vaccines and Kasabian, while the show will be hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall.
2012 nominations
While the awards up for grabs at the show include Best Small Festival, Hero of the Year and Best Music Film, the categories that grab the headlines are Best British Band, Best Solo Artist, Best New Band, Best Album and Best Track.
