Enjoy a season of pop up film screenings as part of the Nomad Cinema at Whiteleys, when the roaming cinema touches down at the Bayswater shopping centre in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

Winter screenings
After roaming the parks and open spaces of London for a series of alfresco screenings during its summer run, The Nomad finds a temporary home at Whiteleys Shopping Centre over the winter of 2011. Making sure that film lovers don't miss out on any celluloid kicks while the shopping centre's Odeon Cinema undergoes an extensive refurbishment, the Nomad Cinema at Whiteleys is offering a mix of both cult classics and modern hits, as well as a sprinkling of festive favourites.

Take your seat
Promising to be anything but your common or garden screening space, the Nomad Cinema at Whiteleys gives you the chance to watch some of the most popular films of recent times from a glass platform, a ball pit or while seated on a swing under a sky of umbrellas. To add to the atmosphere, the cinema will also host an exhibition of classic film posters and original artwork from a variety of movies.

Cocktails and popcorn
To add the pop up experience, the Nomad Cinema is accompanied by the Vestal Vodka Pop Up Bar serving exclusive cocktails, wine and beer. Nearby beach huts will be serving popcorn, ice cream by Oddono's and vintage sweets such as giant gobstoppers and striped candy canes.

Special events
To accompany the film screenings, a number of special events are taking place at the pop up cinema. Sunday 27th November sees Empire Magazine editor Danny Leigh present Spielberg's epic film, E.T., while on Tuesday 29th November, Charlie Brooker is presenting the first episode of his television series, Black Mirror, as well as one of his favourite films, Harold and Maude.
