Where

Notting Hill Carnival

This year the Notting Hill Carnival celebrates another year of carnival fun, and whilst its dedication to music ranging from soca and salsa to dancehall and dub has always been legendary, this year you will find a sound system around virtually every corner. Part of the charm of the Notting Hill Carnival is its easygoing, wherever the crowd takes you mentality, but sometimes you just want to bend your hips to the cream of sound systems.

Don't leave the Notting Hill Carnival without stopping by at least one of the following sound systems:

Rampage, Colville Square
Rampage will be back in residence which is guaranteed to delight their many fans. The darlings of Radio 1Xtra will be playing a mixture of hip hop, RnB, garage, jungle and a sprinkling of soca from their sound system on Colville Square during the Notting Hill Carnival.

Good Times, Southern Row
The inimitable Norman Jay hops aboard the Good Times bus and teases chilled rare groove and funky house music from the decks. All Norman Jay gigs promise a cheerful, friendly crowd and the Good Times sound system promises more of the same. Slap a smile on your face and shimmy on down to the corner of Southern Row and West Row to celebrate Notting Hill Carnival 2010.

Sancho Panza, Conlan Street
This sound system will be playing funky house music so where better to sway your hips and get down with the professionals. For this year's Notting Hill Carnival, the Sancho Panza sound system can be found on the junction of Middle Row and Conlan Street.

Rap Attack, All Saints Road
Setting up camp on the infamous All Saints Road, the Rap Attack sound system is certainly not going to be shy and retiring. Considered by many to be the Rampage sound system's older brother, prepare to remember the good times with their unique blend of old skool hip hop, 70s and 80s classics, and rare groove.

Nasty Love Mixing Lab, Colville Gardens
Boasting prime hip hop and reggae flavours, Nasty Love are set to work their magic on the crowd at the Notting Hill Carnival. The Nasty Love sound system is certainly worth stopping by for some serious ragga and bashment.
