Opera Circus at Old Queens Head

For an unusual night out crammed full of eccentric performances and stirring arias, head to the Opera Circus at Old Queens Head, when the popular Islington boozer hosts a show by a troupe of Victorian Sideshow freaks.

Arias and duets
Featuring a series of duets and arias by a cast inspired by the tradition of Victorian sideshow freaks, the Opera Circus at Old Queen Head combines powerful vocal performances with tongue in cheek humour. The event is overseen by the sinister character of Sirus Lutovich, a Romanian ringmaster who will add an extra element of mystery and suspense to the night's proceedings.

Beowulf
Part of the London Alternative Fringe Festival, the Opera Circus at Old Queens Head aims to bring opera to a whole new audience with a variety of extroverted and quirky performances. The show also features an extract from an operatic rendition of the old English saga Beowulf, complete with music, dance and fighting sequences.

Opera Circus at Old Queens Head runs from 7.30pm - 11pm, Tuesday 24th August 2010.

Tickets for the Opera Circus at Old Queens Head cost £10.00, with concessions available for £8.00.
