Other Boleyn Girl Costume Exhibition

Celebrating the launch of the sumptuous Tudor love story on DVD on 30th June, the Other Boleyn Girl costume exhibition is on show at Hampton Court Palace, historical home to Henry VIII. Open until the 26th August 2008, the exhibition displays some of the stunning costumes used on set by the cast in the epic historical romance The Other Boleyn Girl.

Starring Scarlet Johansson and Natalie Portman as the Boleyn sisters, and Eric Bana as the smouldering young king, the film is a stunning depiction of Tudor life at court, and is full of gorgeous. hand made costumes that reflect the styles of the period exactly.

Beautiful dresses, headpieces, bodices and more will be on display in the Other Boleyn Girl costume exhibition, alongside the clothes worn by Eric Bana in the film. Most of the pieces are handmade and extremely elaborate, so getting up close to these delightful costumes will be a real treat for fans of the film, and of period dress.

All the clothing involved in the Other Boleyn Girl film were designed by the remowned costume designer Sandy Powell, who also created clothes for Shakespeare in Love. Set in the perfect location for evoking the history of Henry VIII and his queen Anne Boleyn, the Other Boleyn Girl costume exhibition will be the icing on the cake for anyone who visits the palace during the show.

Taking visitors back in time to 500 years ago, Hampton Court Palace is a stunning example of Tudor architecture and court life. With live re-enactments taking place throughout the year, there is always plenty of historical life to see.

Not only does the Other Boleyn Girl costume exhibition mark the launch of the film onto DVD, it also marks the beginning of the celebrations for the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII's accession to the throne in 2009.
