Various venues

If you weren’t able to get your hands on tickets to watch the Ashes test this year then you’re in luck. You don’t have to stay cooped up inside a dark, sweaty pub to catch all the cricket action this summer, instead catch one of these outdoor Ashes screenings. London is going to be a centre of much of the action this year as the tournament comes to the Lords and Oval cricket grounds and this is the ideal way to soak up the atmosphere.

Ashes Test
The Ashes Test is one of the most fiercely contested cricket tournaments. England and Australia have been competing on the field since 1877 and the good-natured rivalry between the two countries has kept the attention of cricket fans for decades.

Watch all the action for free
The five tests are held at cricket grounds across the country with the highlight for Londoners being when the tournament comes to Lords and The Oval. However, with tickets to go to the cricket grounds and watch the matches coming in at well over £50 per person, it’s not the most wallet-friendly way of cheering on your team. If you think that sitting inside watching the cricket on TV is a sure fire way to kill your mood then check out the outdoor Ashes screenings. London is about to be inundated with excited sports fans.

Big Screens
Short of getting into the cricket grounds to catch the Ashes this year, the best way to watch all of the action whilst still enjoying the great outdoors is to check out the free outdoor Ashes screenings. London is where the heart of the action will be this year, after all. These screenings have been specially organised at three locations across the capital as part of the Great British Summer series of events and will take place at Cardinal Place, New Street Square and Bankside Mix. It’s free of charge to all and is the most credit crunch friendly way of soaking up the atmosphere whilst watching the cricket. All you have to do is turn up, grab yourself a seat and soak up the atmosphere.
