The Pangea Day London event hits Somerset House in May as people from all over the world come together to see live screenings and hear talks from influential speakers. Over 1,000 events are expected to be included in Pangea Day, with millions of people worldwide taking part and thousands of Londoner experiencing the event first hand with the Pangea Day London screenings.

An event not to be missed, this is your chance to be inspired and see what has inspired others. A culmination of 2,500 films whittled down to just 24 shorts, Pangea Day will see four hours of live programming with live music and visionary speakers, alongside all the screenings. Broadcasting in several locations around the world, the Pangea Day London event also takes place at at the same time as events in Cairo, Kigali, Los Angeles, Mumbai and Rio de Janeiro.

Broadcast in seven different languages, the entire programme will be screened around the world through television and on the internet, contacting millions and millions of people with the inspiring works. The films included in the one day celebration have been made by people all over the globe, and have all been selected by an international competition. What makes Pangea Day so special is that 100 different countries will be represented on screen, each one telling their own inspiring story in their own words.

And it's not just inspiring films that you can see at Somerset House at Pangea Day London. Inspiring speakers such as Bob Geldof, Queen Noor of Jordan, CNN's Christiane Amanpour, and Mariane Pearl, the wife of murdered journalist Daniel Pearl, will be taking to the stage or screen and broadcasting their messages around the world. Other famous faces putting their influence behind the day are Goldie Hawn, JJ Abrams, Dave Stewart, Camereron Diaz, Jeff Skill and Lawrence Bender.

Celebrating understanding, tolerance and the positive things that unite us, the Pangea Day London event will be the first of its kind.
