A year after the venue was reborn in its present reincarnation, Paradise by Way of Kensal Green is celebrating its very first birthday. Having witnessed a great deal of happenings between then and now, Paradise is set to continue its culinary triumphs, spectacular nights, and a whole lot more drinking and dancing to boot.
Paradise by Way of Kensal Green has played host to countless events, parties and performers over the last year with Florence and the Machine, the Portobello Film Festival, Belleruche, Myster Jets, The Magic Numbers, the Chemical Brothers, Steven Merchant, The Count and Sinden, and Jonny Borrell amongst them. Not to mention all the other talented musicians, DJs, cabaret performers, burlesque acts and comedians besides.
And of course the Paradise by Way of Kensal Green 1st birthday is the perfect excuse to celebrate in style with a big birthday bash on Friday 15th August 2008. The line up for the night includes DJ sets from Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, a live set from Drew Babyshambles' band Helsinki, some rock n roll burlesque from Kitty Bang Bang and a very special guest performance.
A definite date for your summer diary, Paradise by Way of Kensal Green will also mark its first birthday with free desserts for everyone eating in the Paradise dining room during the birthday week, from Monday 11th to Sunday 17th August 2008.
