See live coverage of the 2012 Paralympics at Trafalgar Square, and cheer on the disabled athletes from around the world as they compete for glory. Big screen Coming hot on the heels of the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games see some of the world's best disabled athletes compete against each other and their own personal bests in a series of sports and field and track events, from boccia and wheelchair basketball to swimming and power lifting. Catch all the action live on the big screen during the Paralympics at Trafalgar Square, when the iconic central London landmark becomes a London Live festival site and broadcasts Channel 4 coverage onto a 60 square metre giant screen. London Live site With an audience capacity of 10,000, Trafalgar Square is bound to have a buzzing atmosphere during the 2012 Olympic Games, with a big screen beaming live coverage of the sporting events taking place at venues across the capital. Watch the Paralympics at Trafalgar Square and cheer on your favourite athletes in games such as football five and seven-a-side, rowing, table tennis, archery and equestrian sports. Live performances Alongside all the live screenings of the Paralympics at Trafalgar Square, you can also expect to see a series of live performances, with special events to coincide with occasions such as the opening and closing ceremonies in the Olympic Park. Artists taking part in the live performances include The Beat, Geno Washington and The Ram Jam Band, Space Ships Are Cool, The Fabulous Lounge Swingers and Reasons To Be Cheerful. Paralympic sports As well as all the screenings and live music, the BT London Live site at Trafalgar Square also gives everyone the chance to try out a range of Paralympic sports on the Have-a-Go Sports Court. Try out games such as sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis and also have a game of ping pong in the free table tennis area. The live entertainment and screenings of the Paralympics at Trafalgar Square takes place from Wednesday 29th August - Sunday 9th September 2012. The screenings take place from 11am - 10pm daily, and the live performances take place from 1pm - 7pm. Admission to the BT London Live Trafalgar Square site is free, and granted on a first come, first served basis.
