Want to check out the David Byrne music installation at the Roundhouse on the cheap? Pay What You Can Mondays at Playing the Building gets you into the interactive event for less that the standard ticket price, so you can hand over your pennies, roll your sleeves up, and make some noise at the famous Camden venue.

Special offer at the Roundhouse
The Roundhouse is playing host to a very unusual arts installation throughout August 2009, in the form of a old pump organ connected via pumps and tubes to the Victorian architecture of The Roundhouse. The brainchild of artist, musician, and former Talking Heads singer David Byrne, visitors can play the keys of the organ and cause the Roundhouse to rattle, whistle and groan, and with Pay What You Can Mondays at Playing the Building, you can take part without punishing your pocket.

Pay What You Can Mondays at Playing the Building
The special offer on tickets is just one of the many events taking place as part of the Playing the Building event at the Roundhouse. Visitors can also buy a combined ticket that allows them to visit the installation and fill up on barbecue food and drink, and there's also a series of Jam Alongs featuring improvised music.

Exactly what it says on the tin
If you think that Pay What You Can Mondays at Playing the Building is a pretty self explanatory special offer, then you're right; just turn up in person on the day and contribute that you can as an admission fee. The offer goes either way, so if you're feeling especially generous and want to demonstrate your support for this unusual arts event, then the sky's the limit.

Pay What You Can Mondays at Playing the Building takes place on Monday 10th August, Monday 17th August, Monday 24th August, and Monday 31st August 2009.
