Last Saturday I booked the private dining room for my 24th Birthday and dined with family members who had come from overseas and close friends. One word to sum up my exprience: magical! The room is absolutely gorgeous with a huge pearl chandilier and I was able to connect my own ipod with music playing in the background and the table we all dined on was huge with the most beautiful linen and cutlery. I had my name at the top of everyone's menu and they made it so personalised. They catered to my cousin who has severe allergies too. The food was delicious and melted in the mouth. I will never forget the salmon wrapped starter and the pork main dish which was just so succulent and filling. The dessert was amazing with passion fruit ice cream and a crumbly biscuit type thing underneath and another creamy passion fruit ensemble. They baked me a chocolate birthday cake too which was amazing! The price was extremely reasonable for the quality with an average spend including drink about £50+ per person. The service was brilliant and professional and they were always willing to help and it was just so smooth and we even got to meet the man himself Juan Tanaka which was great! I would reccommend Pearl Restaurant and Bar, yes it is pricey but its worth it and you will never forget your time here. I will be back very soon! :)

I dined at Pearl on Saturday evening with 3 friends and I can honestly say it was my best dining experience to date. The restaurant is elegant with stunningly lit pearls cascading from the ceiling and a pianist providing subtle background music. Yet despite its opulence, the restaurant is surprisingly friendly and relaxed.

The service is very warming with attentive, knowledgeable staff, who are partial to a bit of banter. Nothing seems too much trouble for the Waiters and they clearly have a passion for upholding the restaurant’s excellent reputation.

The food is nothing short of stunning and cleverly fuses French classics with a modern twist, incorporating experimental flavours with beautiful artistic expression. As each dish arrives, you can’t help wanting to resist the urge to destroy the work of art which has been constructed with such love and attention, however this is soon replaced with a desire to spoil your curious taste buds.

Some of the flavours seem a little too bold to be fused but somehow they work, dancing across your palate in the most sensational manner. Although substantial in size, the dishes leave you wanting more and more.

It is clear that Jun Tanaka’s food is very cleverly thought out, tried, tested and respectfully constructed to achieve nothing short of perfection.

I recently took my husband to Pearl for his birthday and I was pleasantly surprised by the service, ambience and food. I couldn't have chosen a better venue. The food was exquisite and I couldn't fault anything.

This is truly a remarkable restaurant for any occassion.

I went to Pearl on Saturday with two of my girls. I have to sat that is one of the best dining experiences that I have had. The atmosphere was relaxed, they had live music, a lady playing the piano and singing. The food was exqusite and sooo filling! We each had a 3 course meal and I think it is well worth the £50 per head. The cocktails and champagne menu had so much choice. The staff was so pleasant and extremley friendly, which contributed in making this a truly memorable evening. I've booked to go back in 2 weeks with so more friends so they can share in this truly amazing dining experience!

Pearl Restaurant & Bar lived up to all the reviews written on this website. My uncle is a huge foie gras fan and rated Pearl with a 5 star for quality and thought it was simply the best. My chicken lasagne was totally yummy. Oh my word, I cannot wait to return to Pearl again.

The restaurant is smart but not stuffy. The staff were friendly but not intrusive. If you wish to have a special evening or wish to impress someone, then go to Pearl Restaurant & Bar.

Pearl Restaurant & Bar was a beautiful surprise. I enjoyed the ambience and the company. The Pearl Restaurant wine list was exhaustive - settled for Champagne (pink). The food was exotic and a feast for the eyes and stomach. Finally I was proposed to.

Eat at the Pearl last night. Fantastic food and service. Would definitley recommend it to anyone who wishes to indulge!

The Pearl wine list was extensive but very expensive. The surroundings were stunning and cold at the same time.

I totally recommend Pearl for a business lunch. The service is top notch as is the food and the wine list. I had one of the most amazing meals I’ve had in a while at Pearl and the decor is equally impressive.

Seven of us had a fabulous meal at Pearl. We all agreed the food was fantastic. (very rare) The service was good (maybe a liitle slow) considering we sat down at 8pm and left at 12.30.

The Foie Gras melted in your mouth, the apertif was excellent and all the main dishes, tuna, partridge, sea bass, pork were excellent. All cooked to perfection. The desserts were delicious- beautifully presented too.

All in all a great place to go for a night out to catch up with friends and family over great wine and food.
