Men and women all across the world have been pondering the question of the perfect size for ages, but countless years of male insecurity has only led to infinite amounts of spam pouring into your inbox. A new Shoreditch photography exhibition hopes to take the age old question and give it a new spin. At the exhibition on penis photos, London men are invited to snap their chap for the sake of art.
My Penis and I
Started by film director Lawrence Barraclough, whose documentary My Penis and I explored the male size issue, the exhibition on penis portraits aims to help dispel myths about manhood. While making the documentary, Barraclough realised that his size issues were mainly in his mind. Whether he’s become a hit with the ladies since that realisation is anyone’s guess, but he’s definitely open to talking about it.
Post your pics
At the event’s website you can post pictures of your willy for use in the exhibition. And before you ask - no, this isn’t some sort of weird site to trawl for sex on the internet. If you’re too uncomfortable to send in your own pics, you can still get inspired at the penis photos London exhibition, because they’ll have a photobooth if you decide to show off your property in the heat of the moment.
The biggest one in London
At the exhibition on penis photos, London art lovers will get a chance to see more willies than they can ever imagine. In order to collect and exhibit the biggest display of penis portraits that the world has ever seen, your help is needed. Take a picture and be part of a movement to dispel the mythology of the penis – it’s guaranteed to be the biggest one around.
New documentary
As a follow up to his first documentary, Barraclough is set to tackle the taboo of the penis. The new film, My Penis and Everybody Else’s, will explore why people still shy away from talking about penises, and will attempt to encourage men to talk about all their physical attributes and why they really matter.
The exhibition on penis photography runs from Saturday 24th February – Sunday 25th February at Foundry Gallery, 86 Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch. Nearest tube: Old Street. Admission hours are 3pm – 11pm Saturday and 3pm – 10.30pm Sunday.
