Visitors to Knightsbridge can explore a world of exclusive doggy design in the Pet a Porter Harrods Fashion Show, an exclusive fashion event for four-legged fashionstas in London. The catwalk becomes a dogwalk for the night as trend setting canines strut their stuff in a vibrant Harrods event.
A pedigree night outPet a Porter includes a glitzy reception where visitors can sup champagne and enjoy a selection of Harrods canapes, like kedgeree chum and great Danish pastries. Expect plenty of glamour on the night at the iconic London department store is transformed into a premiere dog show cum fashion show.
Seventh AnniversaryPet a Porter Harrods Fashion Show is seven years old this year and is celebrating in suitable style. The whole event this year is dedicated to Cesar dogs, and you can expect another very glitzy affair for 2009 with designer outfits fit for the very smartest pooches in town.
Exclusive designsA line up of leading designers have been invited by Harrods to come up with new creations for Pet a Porter, including the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Roberto Cavalli and milliner Victoria Grant. Canine models will be modelling new designs from these acclaimed fashion industry personalities.
Pet a Porter Harrods fashion showThe main event of the evening is the fashion show itself, during which everything from dog coats to accessories will be on show. Dogs will be displaying the items along a 60ft long catwalk, promising to be a memorable, unique fashion event. There will also be a raffle on the night, with all profits going to the Retired Greyhound Trust.
Take home a doggy bagGuests at the Pet a Porter Harrods Fashion Show will be given an exclusive doggy bag packed with a selection of canine treats. A new Harrods dog brochure is also being launched at the fashion show, featuring the latest must haves from this season of doggy design.
