Pet Personality Awards London

Celebrities, kids and animals of all shapes and sizes are coming together in Regents Park for the Boomerang Pet Personality Awards London event. Hosted by Donna Air and Georgie Thompson, the free family event features all the fun of a traditional British fete as well as plenty of animal themed activities.

All the fun of the fair
Children and animal lovers of all ages can spend the day getting up close to the cute and cuddly creatures in the petting zoo at the Pet Personality Awards London event, which also includes cream tea stalls and duck racing. Regents Park will be transformed into a village green with bunting, a special family picnic area and vintage fairground rides.

Working animals
Amongst all the other entertainment and free events at the Pet Personality Awards, London animal lovers can watch dog agility shows, ferret racing and a quirky sheeplechase. The PDSA Pet MOT van will also provide free advice and veterinary consultations for devoted pet owners.

Celebrity animals
Categories in the Pet Personality Awards London event include the bravest, cutest, oddest pet couple, most talented and most unusual pets, and there's also a favourite celebrity pet award. Celebrity dogs nominated include Cheryl Cole's Buster, The Queen's corgis, Barack Obama's Bo and Nicole Richie's Foxxy Cleopatra. Boomerang characters such as Scooby Doo, Garfield, Bugs Bunny and The Pink Panther will be on hand during the day to help kids celebrate their own star pets, in whatever shape and form they take.

The Pet Personality Awards London event takes place in Regents Park from 12pm - 5pm, Sunday 13th September 2009. Admission is free.
