Electro pop masters
With the exciting project between radical choreographer Javier De Frutos and electronic pop icons Pet Shop Boys at Sadlers Wells, fans of modern ballet can see Hans Christian Andersen's story The Most Incredible Thing come to life on stage. The story has been adapted for the stage by acclaimed director and playwright Matthew Dunster, and features a cast of 16 dancers performing to live music from an 18 piece orchestra.

The story
With such a high standard of creative talent involved, tickets to see the ballet by Javier De Frutos and Pet Shop Boys at Sadlers Wells are likely to be in steep demand. Originally written in 1870 by fairytale creator extraordinaire Hans Christian Andersen, the story tells of a contest to produce the most incredible thing in order to win half the kingdom and the hand of the princess herself, and touches on the themes of hope and the power of art.

Tour de force
As well as the collaboration between the innovative choreographer and veteran electro pop stars, the ballet by Javier De Frutos and Pet Shop Boys at Sadlers Wells also features contributions from a number of other acclaimed artists. There's film and animation from BAFTA winner Tal Rosner, as well as set designs by Tony Award winner Katrina Lindsay.

The Most Incredible Thing, the ballet by Javier De Frutos and Pet Shop Boys at Sadlers Wells, runs from Sunday 25th March - Saturday 7th April 2012. Tickets cost £10.00 - £40.00.
