Petals and Pekoe Tea

Head to the Athenaeum over the summer and treat yourself with a very special Petals and Pekoe Tea. Inspired by the likes of the Chelsea Flower Show and the Hampton Court Flower Show, the delicate and feminine afternoon tea is the ultimate in afternoon indulgences.

Smoked salmon, roast ham, cucumber and cream cheese, and egg and cress finger sandwiches are served alongside a collection of flower inspired and floral flavoured treats. Orange blossom scones with clotted cream and jam, iced floral teacakes, rose scented meringues, fairy cakes with sugar flowers, vanilla cheesecake with edible frosted flowers and strawberry tartlets with lavender jam will certainly make for a delectible afternoon tea.

And all of these delights are accompanied by a pot of Pekoe tea, and if you are feeling extra naughty, a glass of pink Champagne.
