Those lucky enough to get their hands on Peter Pan Barbican tickets will be treated to a fascinating take on JM Barrie’s much-loved children’s story of the boy that never wants to grow up. And this particular production of Peter Pan at the Barbican commemorates the 150th anniversary of JM Barrie’s birth so expect a show that’s celebratory in its homage to one of the great storytellers.

Peter Pan at the Barbican
With the huge success of the Kensington Gardens production last year, it’s clear that Peter Pan continues to hold a place in the hearts of both children and adults alike, and this version looks set to continue this love affair. The Barbican production does keep close to the darkness of the original text though so it’s only really for those over the age of seven.

Classic tale
Everyone knows the tale of Peter Pan and his fantastical flight back to Neverland to cross swords with Captain Hook and his pirate gang. This Barbican production will have all the elements that made this story such an enchanting one, with Wendy, John and Michael being flung into a world of sword fights, Lost Boys, killer crocodiles and trips flying through the air, all a mile away from Victorian Edinburgh from whence they came.

Peter Pan Barbican tickets are available for performances of JM Barrie’s Peter Pan at the Barbican, from Wednesday 12th May – Saturday 29th May 2010. To purchase tickets please follow the link below to the official site
