Those lucky enough to pick up Pinewood Studios drive in cinema tickets will be treated to classic films that include The Shining, Dr Strangelove, Mamma Mia! and Planet of the Apes, all from the comfort of the car. The format will be the same as the popular drive in cinemas of 1950’s America, where you quite simply drive in, park up and watch the silver screen action unfold whilst watching from the car.

Iconic studios
The drive in cinema is set within the huge grounds of Pinewood Studios, the iconic studios that have been at the forefront of both British and global filmmaking for over half a century. All the films being shown on the drive in cinema screen were made at either Pinewood or the affiliated Shepperton Studios, so audiences will be able to see the films knowing that they are parked up exactly where they might have been made.
