With venues including parks, squares, museums, galleries, stations, shopping centres and gardens, there is simply nowhere you can go without coming across a free to play ping pong table just waiting to tempt you.
Masterclasses for all
You may not be a table tennis wonder, but everyone can get to grips with ping pong with a little bit of coaching. Thursday 5th August 2010 is the day when Spin in the Square takes place with a variety of ping pong events and masterclasses for those who want to learn the speediest shots and the cleverest curves. You may not end up quite as speedy as the Chinese world champions, but you might be able to beat your colleagues in a lunchtime match, which is surely just as satisfying.
