Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Pink Floyd, the Pink Floyd exhibition at the Oxo Tower Wharf marks the unique relationship between the band and their artist, Storm Thorgerson. Famous for his cover of Dark Side of the Moon, the artist collaborated on many other works with Pink Floyd.

In this special Pink Floyd exhibition sixty great photos of album covers, single bags, posters, programme and many other artistic memorabilia are on show. Spanning 40 years of art on record album covers, the Mind Over Matter shows these iconic images off to great advantage, and remind you just how deeply rooted in British culture and art they are.

Featuring in the Pink Floyd exhibition are artworks from the record breaking albums, The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon. Reproduced larger than the original album covers, Mind Over Matter gives you a chance to revel in the stunning artwork that Pink Floyd which, along with their anthemic music, they quickly became renowned for.

Part of the same Cambridge social set that saw Pink Floyd come together as a band, Storm Thorgerson and his original creative partner Aubrey Powell, were first commissioned on Pink Floyd’s A Saucerful of Secrets. Their design for The Dark Side of the Moon has often been referred to as one of the greatest album covers of all time, and is certainly one of the most recognisable pieces of music memorabilia around.

A great chance for any true Pink Floyd fan to see so many famous images all brought together, the exhibition also marks the celebrates the publication of the book, Mind Over Matter: The Images of Pink Floyd.

Mind Over Matter, the Pink Floyd exhibition is on show at the gallery at Oxo Tower Wharf until the 1th August 2008.
