This Poetry Live charity event is aimed at raising vitally needed funds for the island of Haiti, which suffered huge damage to its infrastructure as well as thousands of deaths and serious injuries across the island. Over a third of those living in Haiti have been affected by the earthquake, with many in dire need of urgent aid.
