The Polar Bears play is produced in conjunction with the Donmar Warehouse, with Mark Haddon making his playwrighting debut. The play is directed by the Donmar’s Associate Director Jamie Lloyd so there’s some real pedigree behind the scenes, with Polar Bears looking to showcase not only why Haddon is such a popular writer, but also why the Donmar Warehouse enjoys such an impressive reputation in the world of theatre.

Mark Haddon
Although Polar Bears’ writer is perhaps best known for The Curious Incident, he has also written other critically acclaimed novels, including The Real Porky Philips, A Spot of Bother and Agent Z. Polar Bears promises to bring Haddon’s expert insight into the human mind onto the stage for the first time as he tells the tale of one man’s ongoing battle to both give and receive love and support from someone living with a psychological condition.
