Head to the roaming Portavilion at London parks across the capital for the chance to see a variety of free dance shows and live music events over the summer.

Inflatable pavilion
Taking the form of a portable pavilion that's popping up in parks across London, Portavilion at London Parks is the creation of German arts and architecture collective Raumlabor-Berlin.The mobile structure is made of a translucent membrane that inflates to create a temporary performance space, and as the bubble can be squeezed under bridges, tucked into corners or wrapped around trees, the Portavilion is likely to look a little different each time you see it popping up in different parks.

Big name contributors
There's an impressive lineup of organisations staging special performances at the Portavilion at London parks, with Sadler's Wells, English National Ballet and the Greenwich Dance Agency all making major contributions. Other dance partners include East London Dance and Siobhan Davies Dance, which means that high calibre live performances will be at the heart of many of the Portavilion's shows.

Unusual events
The Tate Modern, Royal Society of Arts and The Roundhouse are also making contributions to the programme of events at Portavilion at London Parks, which sees the inflatable pavilion touring the parks of the five east London boroughs that are set to host the Olympics in 2012. Keep and eye out too, for special events during the Big Dance festival, and architecture events to tie into the London Festival of Architecture. Programme of events
