More Gay Events
Calling all homosexuals, bisexuals, transsexuals, and yes, you heterosexuals too – Pride London is back again for 2008 and it’s feistier than ever. Whatever your sexual orientation make sure you get out and celebrate for one of London’s most colourful festivals.

Why you should go
Pride is more than just about who you want to sleep with, it’s about freedom, equality, and the right to wear as many rainbows as humanly possible. This is one party like none other all around the world, and this years attendance is expected to be over a million people.

Don’t miss
The Pride London parade is the highlight of the festival, with countless spectacularly colourful and glittery floats and performers making their way around the streets of the capital. The theme for 2008 is icons, so embrace your favourite gay or lesbian icon and break out the costumes.

And after the parade be sure to follow the crowds to the Pride London festival main stage in Trafalgar Square, with everyone from important speakers to rocking bands getting ready to play to the crowds. Last year’s guests included Darren Hayes and the hotly tipped Dragonette, plus special appearances from the Mayor of London and some suprise folk from Dr Who.

In the mood for more? Here are some top gay events that took place during the Pride London week in 2007:
Try your luck: Bingo Night
Put your kilt on: Ceilidh Dancing
Strut your stuff: Fitladz at Crash
Get post-feminist: Pole Dancing
Tennis, anyone?: Gay Tennis Club
Fancy a cuppa?: Gay Tea Dance
More Pride London events will be anounced soon, so check back for more details.

The Pride London parade starts at 1pm on 5th July 2008 at Orchard Street and Wigmore Street and continues down Oxford Street, Regent Street and ends at Whitehall.
