Huge film
The film was a huge, yet surprise hit back in 1994 catapulting its big star, Guy Pearce to Hollywood fame. Priscilla tells the story of Tick, Bernadette and Adam as they start up their old bus (Priscilla) and take their glamorous drag show out to the middle of the Australian outback. Boasting a fine array of fabulous outfits, a dazzling cacophony of dance and song and a hilarious, moving storyline, Priscilla Queen of the Desert the musical looks set to be one of the stage highlights of 2011.
Onto the stage
Priscilla Queen of the Desert the musical was first shown in Sydney back in 2006 and following considerable critical acclaim visits by over a million Australians, Priscilla has been started up again and makes its way to the Palace Theatre. Stuffed in the back of the bus will be nearly 500 costumes, 100 wigs, 160 masks, 200 hats and head dresses and over 150 pairs of tailor made shoes, ensuring that everybody’s looking as fabulous as you might expect.
