Billed as the UK's biggest indie club night, Propaganda at O2 Academy Islington is the place to be if RnB, garage and commercial pop club nights just aren't your cup of tea. Slip into your skinny jeans, channel the retro look and dance the night away to the likes of Kasabian, Florence and the Machine and The Killers.
DJ Dan
There are regular Propaganda nights in Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Liverpool, Belfast and Sheffield, but at the Propaganda at O2 Academy Islington indie fans have the honour of partying to DJ sets from the founder of the movement DJ Dan. He's the DJ of choice for Oasis and has previously played sets at the Brit Awards and Electric Proms after party, so no doubt you'll be in safe hands whenever DJ Dan takes to the decks.
Alex Zane
As well as sets from DJ Dan, Propaganda at O2 Academy Islington also features regular DJ sets from E4 and Rude Tube star Alex Zane. Previous guest DJs have also included Lily Allen, Vampire Weekend, Zane Lowe, The Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party and Hot Chip, giving the odd splash of star studded glamour to the night's proceedings.
Friday night fun
With music from Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon to MGMT and La Roux played by Alex Zane and DJ Dan, Propaganda remains one of the most popular indie nights in London. Drinks at the bar come in at £2.50 for a vodka mixer and £2.20 for a pint of lager, which means that a night spent partying to the latest indie music needn't cost the earth.
