Proud Bank Holiday Marathon

Providing you with five days of fantastic live music, street entertainment and plenty of fun, the Proud Bank Holiday Mararthon celebrates the end of the summer and sets out to give everyone a jolly good time. Special guests, live bands and artists, DJs and buskers all make for a full on, very long weekend of Proud style antics.

Kicking off proceedings for the Proud Bank Holiday Marathon on Thursday 21st August, Mills and The Hugs will be playing live, and a DJ set from Kate Jackson of the Long Blondes will keep you dancing into the night. Friday 22nd August is the date to remember as Mica Paris is coming to perform tracks from her brand new album which is due for release in September.

Saturday 23rd August sees the Proud Bank Holiday Marathon really getting into its stride with a full on night of fantastic music for all. Be at Proud host the night with performances from So So Modern and Velofax, along with a DJ set from Rory Phillips.

Buskers will be roaming the streets and taking up residence in the stables on Sunday 24th August, as the marathon takes on a family feel for the day. Street entertainers, magicians, puppet shows and comedians will be making the most of the Proud Bank Holiday Marathon of entertainment, and giving you a great show at the same time. In the evening Playground at Proud will be in the driving seat for live music from Shortwave Fade, Tin Soldiers, Hello Geiger and Roxy Rawson. DJ Shadowstep is the man to keep your from your beds with a special 4am license that demands you stay out and party.

Monday 25th August tones things down slightly to accomodate sore heads and tired feet from the marathon of drinking and dancing, giving you some chilled out jazz. Favourite Things keeps everything in the Bank Holiday spirit with The Show and Prove Jazz Quartet bringing you back down to earth slowly.

Certain to be one of the biggest weekends of music and fun around over the Bank Holiday weekend, Proud Camden is the place to be to enjoy yourself to the fullest. Want to be there? Get your hands on one of 100 special golden ticket wristbands and you can be at the party from Thursday through till Monday, and all for only £20.00.

Wristbands for the Proud Marathon will be sold on a first come, first served basis and will allow you access to all the events taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend.
