Celebrate the 60th year of Queen Elizabeth II's reign at the Queens Jubilee Thames Flotilla. With over a thousand boats decked out in Union Jacks and taking to the river, the pageant is bound to be a spectacular show of history and patriotism. The river procession is just one of the special events taking place over the long bank holiday weekend.

Riverside roads, Thames piers and bridges will be closed to traffic on the day of the Queens Jubilee Thames Flotilla, turning the whole of central London into a street party for the Queen's diamond jubilee. Around 50 outdoor screens will be set up along the route from Wandsworth Bridge to Tower Bridge so that the crowds can catch all the live action as it unfolds.

Royal occasion
The Queen herself will be leading the flotilla along the Thames, followed by around a thousand boats decked out in streamers and Union Jacks. The pageant includes everything from naval vessels and rowing boats to music barges and boats letting off fireworks, as well as a floating belfry whose chiming bells will be answered by churches along the river.
