The Londoner's Guide to London
Head to the UK premiere of Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation and see the cult fanboy tribute on the British big screen for the first time. An array of Indy style exhibits and food will be available at the Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation charity screening, so you can immerse youself in the world of the fantasy adventure for the evening.
Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation charity screening
Started in 1982 by 12 year olds Chris Strompolos and Eric Zala, Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation is a loving tribute to the original film starring Harrison Ford. Taking huge amounts of pocket money, dedication, and time, the film was eventually completed after seven years, and the film acquired cult status 15 years later when it was given its world premiere at a film festival.
Charity screening in Leicester Square
Fans of the amateur tribute film include Quentin Tarantino and Indiana Jones director Steven Speilberg, and now you can see Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation at a charity screening at the Vue West End by Leicester Square. Money raised from ticket sales will go towards MediCinema, the charity that supplies films to hospital patients across the UK.
Meet the filmmakers
Fans of the tribute will be able to meet the filmmakers and put their questions to them at the Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation charity screening. Props and artwork from the original Indiana Jones films will also be on display and there will even by Indy themed food and drink at the premiere's reception.
The Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation charity film screening will start at 5.45pm, Thursday 28th April 2009. Tickets are £17.50. For more information and to book your tickets, click on the link below.
