This year’s Regent Street Christmas lights are sure to be another spectacular creation that will light up the sky around Regent Street. The Christmas lights will no doubt attract thousands of shoppers throughout the festive season, making for one of the major tourist attractions in London this Christmas.

Star appearances at Regent Street
The Regent Street Christmas lights switch on has a history of attracting some of the worlds most celebrated stars, and 2012 is no exception. This year, a host of celebrity guests will be present at a festive extravaganza as Regent Street is transformed into a winter wonderland for lucky Londoners. There is also plenty to keep the crowds entertained before the main event with more celebrity appearances and live music.

London's Christmas season
This year the Regent Street Christmas lights switching on event celebrates the start of the festive season in true Olympic style. This year sees Team GB and Paralympics GB switching on the lights and tribute to them will hang from the sky. The evening will start with a choral performance of the twelve days of Christmas followed by entertainment from the stars from the West End production of Matilda. John Suchet will be presenting the event on this famous street with Jamie Crick helping to kickstart the festive season in grand style. Music fans can look forward to a range of performances, with a special appearance from the renowned opera singer, Noah Stewart.

Christmas Lights London

The Regent Street Christmas lights switch on takes place at 5:30pm, Tuesday 13th November 2012. The switching on ceremony and live entertainment takes place from 5pm - 6.30pm at the junction of New Burlington Street and Regent Street. Nearest tubes: Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus.
