Given last year's birthday extravaganza was such a success, the Regent Street Festival 2010 looks like it will top the bill once more. With its fashion theme to celebrate London Fashion Week, the festival will fill the whole day with fun activities for kids, great entertainment for adults and a spectacular atmosphere of live music and stylish fun.

Please note that this event is not taking place in 2011.

Traffic free day
Closed to traffic for the day, Regent Street, Swallow Street and Heddon Street once again participate in this annual extravaganza of colour, music, dance, art and food. With decorations transforming the street into an fantastic supersized fashion parade, visitors to the area can witness stunning roaming musicians, stilt walkers, magicians and gourmet food stalls.

Shops celebrate too
A number of flagship stores are gearing up for the festival with makeover sessions, in-store styling and competitions of their own. Kids and sports fans of all ages can take part in all the fun too with the Have A Go Polo Court, where you can learn how to swing a polo stick and even get on a pony and try to hit the ball with the mallet. Surrounded by food stalls and restaurants, the Regent Street Festival 2010 is also the place to get your hands on great British specials and international cuisine.

Live music
Amazing artists and musicans are set to keep the crowds entertained with their spectacular performances of traditional and modern pieces throughout the day. Inbetween all the catwalk shows, the Lydian String Quartet will be on hand to provide live music.

Festival food
Local restaurants are offering a range of special menus, discount offers and meals for kids on the day of the festival. Eateries on Regent Street, Heddon Street and Swallow Street are the perfect place to grab some food and enjoy all the festival events. For a fashion themed celebration and day of live music and culture, the Regent Street Festival 2010 is sure be a big hit with all those that come to Regent Street, Swallow Street and Heddon Street to join in the fun.
