Closed to traffic for the day, Regent Street and Heddon Street once again participate in this annual extravaganza of colour, music, dance, art and food. With decorations transforming the street into an fantastic British themed entertainment park, visitors to the area can witness the stunning marching bands, trumpeters, pipe bands, veteran car displays and gourmet food stalls.

32 flasgship stores are gearing up for the festival, with some unusual British themed activities. Bose will be going all 007 with a James Bond themed afternoon, whilst Godiva will be selling fresh fruits dipped in chocolate. And for those with a yen for traditional, Austin Reed are inviting you over for afternoon tea. Surrounded by food stalls and restaurants, the Regent Street Festival 2008 is the place to get your hands on great British specials, like fish and chips from Fishworks and bangers and mash at the Living Room. And kids won't miss out as there will be plenty of workshops, face painting and traditional Indian puppets to keep them out of mischief.

Amazing artists and musicans from Britain are set to keep the crowds entertained with their spectacular performances of traditional and modern pieces throughout the day. Cover bands will be recreating some of your favourite artists and performers live on the stage, and hot new boy band Avenue will be getting the crowds up and dancing too.

Restaurants are offering a ten percent discount to customers on the day of the festival. Eateries on Regent Street, Heddon Street and Swallow Street are the perfect place to grab some traditional British grub and enjoy all the festival events.

For a day of celebration and British arts and culture, the Regent Street Festival 2008 is sure be a big hit with all those that come to Regent Street and Heddon Street to join in the fun.
