Where

Regent Street

The Regent Street Festival celebrates over 180 years of shopping history in 2011, with a number of spectacular live performances and events coming to Central London for a massive street party. Regent Street, Heddon Street and Swallow Street will be alive with activity in September with quality dining, live music, dance and more. A series of events are also taking place throughout the day to help you gear up for a full on party.

Please note that this event will no longer be taking place in 2011.

Join the party at Regent Street
Taking place on Sunday 4th September, the Regent Street Festival will close off the area to traffic and transform the famous shopping location into the scene for a huge street party. A feast of live entertainment and special events are on the menu throughout the day, with plenty to keep the crowds busy. Expect fashion shows, music, delicious food and fascinating entertainment to keep you busy all day long.

Fashion theme
For 2010, the Regent Street Festival celebrated the theme of fashion to tie into London Fashion Week, with makeovers and fashion themed competitions taking place in the stores along Regent Street. Expect plenty more in the way of free, family friendly entertainment at the 2011 festival, with shops and the restaurants on Heddon Street and Swallow Street joining in with all the fun with special themed menus, parties, cocktails and meal deals for kids.

Music, dance and events for kids
Festival highlights this year include catwalk shows, live music and a real street party atmosphere in the local area as the streets close to traffic. The 2011 Regent Street Festival also features free and child friendly entertainment at a special kids' zone.

Take the party shopping
A number of Regent Street stores will be getting into the spirit of things for the festival, opening their doors to the fun and festivities. Expect in-store entertainment, food and drink tastings, special promotions, fashion shows and competitions at a variety of high street shops. If you're after something authentic then there will be plenty of market stalls selling an impressive selection of design work, beadwork and embroidered items.

During the Regent Street Festival, Regent Street will be closed to all traffic between Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus underground stations.

The festival takes place at Regent Street on Sunday 4th September 2011. The events are free to attend.

Please note that this event will no longer be taking place in 2011.
