Historic tradition
The Regents Park Open Air Theatre has been open annually since 1932, marking 80 years of live theatre in one of London’s most beautiful parks. The stage is presented in a natural outdoor setting, promising a refreshing theatre experience in the sun.

Classic theatre and modern shows
The Open Air Theatre has become famous for holding a wide variety of shows, from classic Elizabethan drama to contemporary stand up comedy. Shows for 2012 include contemporary musical Ragtime, and a production of Shakespeare's timeless play A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Family days out
Many productions staged at the Regents Park Open Air Theatre are suitable for children and family audiences. Audience members old and young can enjoy live theatre in the park's amphitheatre for a unique alternative to traditional nights out in the West End.

Outdoors in the summer
There's no better way to beat the heat than catching a show at Regents Park's outdoor theatre. Whether you like musicals, Shakespearean dramas or plays for kids, there'll be loads of shows to catch. This year's open air season carries on the historic tradition of the open air theatre in the park.

Shakespeare in the park
The 2012 season includes a special staging of A Midsummer Night's Dream, one of William Shakespeare's most enduringly popular plays. Head to Regents Park and follow the lives and loves of Theseus, the Duke of Athens, and Hippolyta, the Queen of the Amazons, in a story that features young lovers, amateur actors, fairies and an enchanted forest.

2012 programme
The 2012 theatre programme looks like this:

18th May - 8th September:
Ragtime

2nd June - 5th September
A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare
