Part of the Meltdown Festival 2008, the Reprieve Rendition Monologues is a theatrical interpretation of the first hand testimonies of people who have been illegally kidnapped and transfered as terrorist suspects. Transported to nations where they have a reputation for torture, the victims are then subjected to terrible infringements of their personal rights and freedoms.

Created by iceandfire, the Reprieve Rendition Monologues make compelling theatre out of the impact of human rights issues. The monologues are performed by members of the national outreach network, Actors for Human Rights.

Reprieve uses the law to enforce the human rights of prisoners from death row to Guantanamo Bay.
